Outstanding works - Stained Glass
Apse Sagrada Família
The construction of the stained glass windows for the apse of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona is the most prominent of our recent works. The stained glass collection made according to Joan Vila-Grau’s designs for the chapels has been considered one of the most perfect sets of stained glass. The artist’s deep understanding of light and the work’s unique location make this a wonderful piece.
The windows of the parish of Sant Pere, in Alp, were designed entirely by Llucià Navarro. This artist had a solid career as a muralist and an illustrator, was a teacher at "la Llotja", founder of children's magazine "Cavall Fort" and always displayed his unique and characteristic style. The windows of this town in the Cerdanya region demonstrate the strength of his brush stroke, even on glass.
Luard's work has always been characterized by abstraction and the search for his own chromatic language. In the field of stained glass color is even more dynamic and dependent on light than in other artistic fields. His strong background as a glassmaker is complemented by his studies in applied arts at la Llotja and his Fine Art studies at the University of Barcelona. His eclectic yet complementary training makes him uniquely qualified for the creation of contemporary stained glass.
Maria Pilar de Ahumada is not only a master stained glass maker in the J. M. Bonet workshop; with a degree in Fine Arts, she is extraordinary at creating new stained glass and painting with grisaille glass, silver and yellow enamel. She is the author of an extensive list of works and excels in the reproduction of pieces painted for the reintegration of deteriorated windows.
Their desire to surprise with uncommon objects led the owner of this house and the artist to create a work of stained glass with complex geometric shapes, inspired by the stained glass windows of Cistercian abbeys, and a limited color palette. The result is a rich space that is full of nuances and which brings a unique light that would distinguish any interior design project.
Tano Pisano designed this window for the Parish of Sant Martí de Palafrugell while working on the construction of a mural. The artist has a solid international career; most noteworthy are his watercolors, his printmaking and his ceramics. The window addresses the hope for peace between Israel and Palestine.
